Gates Scholar

Schmidly, OSU System CEO and president of OSU, right, congratulate Joel Halcomb of Sand Springs and Ashleigh Hildebrand of Wichita on being selected as OSU’s first Gates Cambridge Scholars. Only 35 students in America were selected for this prestigious honor for graduate study at Cambridge. Halcomb will receive bachelor’s degrees in history and mathematics in May, and Hildebrand will receive her bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, also in May.
